In-house financial professionals provide timely reporting, annual budgets, and other services, while general counsel advises on legal matters, oversees compliance, and represents the programs before regulatory bodies as necessary.
Finance
- Timely financial statement reporting to Board of Trustees following generally accepted accounting principles applied on a consistent basis.
- Preparation of annual Group budget and actual vs. budget comparative reporting.
- Compliance with all Federal, State and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
- Timely completion of annual certification by independent outside auditors.
- Daily monitoring, analysis and investing of cash in excess of cash flow current cash flow needs.
- Continuous monitoring of all internal financial accounting controls.
- Analysis and approval of all Group outside administrative expenses.
- Oversight of Group membership open accounts receivable.
Legal
- General Counsel and staff are present on-site.
- Oversee regulatory compliance regarding marketing, administration, finance and other general aspects of the group self insurance.
- Offer review and understanding of policies and regulations governing group self insurance.
- Represent administrator and group self insurance programs, as necessary, with regard to each state’s workers’ compensation regulators.
- Provide and maintain documentation regarding overall administration of group self insurance programs.
